- 6 Tbs Butter
- 3 fennel bulbs
- 1 small onions
Slice onions and fennel on a bias and place in a large cast-iron pan with 2 tbs butter. Cook on low heat to caramelize over one hour, stirring occasionally and adding in tablespoon of butter as needed to avoid burning. Serve as a condiment with soup, meat or over toast.
